Sentient Studio

My first role out of engineering school. Designed digital presences — apps and websites — for a portfolio of early-stage startups.

What I worked on

Studio life — short cycles, varied clients, lots of practice across product categories. I picked up the rhythm of designing under constraint: a fixed scope, a real deadline, and a client who needed to be persuaded.

What I am proud of

Cut turnaround time on early-stage projects by tightening the research-to-prototype loop into something I could do in days instead of weeks.

Pushed for prototypes as the deliverable, not static screens. Clients stopped arguing about details once they could click through the thing.

Earned my fundamentals here — type, hierarchy, motion. The stuff a CS degree didn’t give me but that this studio did.

Visuals

A client engagement that taught me how short the design-to-deadline window really is.

One of the early prototypes that survived to ship — almost.

Key metrics

Startup websites & apps

Shipped digital presence for 4–5 startups including marketing sites and product prototypes.

Research → high-fidelity prototypes

Ran ideation and research with clients, then translated insights into Figma prototypes that improved approval rates and shortened turnaround.
